Introducing a safe way to control 120vac devices with your Arduino, Stamp, PIC, or other Microcontroller conveniently and at low cost. 


IT'S SAFE 

  • No exposed 120vac voltages and no dangerous 120vac wiring required.
  • Plugs into standard 120vac 3-prong household outlets, power strips, and extension cords.
  • Eliminates the exposure of hazardous voltages in classrooms, in laboratories, and on industrial and DIY development workbenches.
  • No special 120vac wiring when deploying new products and custom solutions.

 

IT'S CONVENIENT 

  • Easily inserts between power source and corded electrical devices.
  • Switches up to 10 amps (resistive loads) with a 5vdc, 40ma control signal.
  • Two-wire control signal connects to terminal block (26-16 AWG) and 8000 volt isolation from the 120vac circuit.
  • LED indicator shows status of control signal.
  • Connect to PIC, Stamp, or other MCU with driver transistor or ULN2803 (See typical driver circuits on the instruction sheet).
  • Units are "stackable" and easily mount on a 2" x 3" grid with two screws.
  • Connect input plug to wall outlet or when using multiple units, to a power strip.
  • Connect output receptacle to a single powered device or to a power strip to control multiple loads.
  • Output devices may be 3-prong or 2-prong appliances or lights.
  • Can be installed by non-technical users.

  • Each unit comes complete and works with all standard 120vac 3-prong wiring devices.
  • Eliminate the need for electrician fees or electrical wiring permits.

  • AC input: NEMA 5-15P Plug, standard 120vac with ground.
  • AC output: NEMA 5-15R Receptacle, standard 120vac with ground.
  • Switching capacity: 10A @ 125vac.
  • Life expectancy: 50,000 operations @ 10amp, 125vac.
  • DC input: 3-5vdc, nominal 40 ma (200 mw) @ 5vdc; terminal block accepts #26-16 AWG wire. Do not exceed 6.0 volts.
  • Operate times: 10 ms max actuate, 5 ms max release.
  • DC to ac circuit isolation: 4,000vac @ 50/60 Hz, 8,000 volts impulse.
  • Indicator: LED indicates when dc side is energized.
  • Protection: DC side protected with 500W transient protector, AC side protected with 150vac MOV.
  • Mounting: Two #6 screws on 2" x 3" grid.
